BREAKING: School funding talks break down

Education advocates end negotiations on the Prop 301 lawsuit.

Proposition 301 was passed by us—the voters—to mandate the legislature fund schools for inflation every year. Since 2009, the legislature has refused to follow the law, even after the courts ruled in favor of schools.

Enough is enough. With $785 million in reserves, our legislature has more than enough money to pay its debt to schools.

It’s time for Governor Ducey to listen to the voters, the courts and our schools, and call a special session immediately to demand the legislature pay its bills.
